Our partners

School of Computing and Information Technology, Kaimosi Friends University has entered into agreement with one of the leading ICT player HUAWEI in enhancing knowledge transfer. https://www.huawei.com/ke/

Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. is a Chinese multinational technology corporation headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, that designs, develops, manufactures and sells telecommunications equipment, consumer electronics, smart devices and various rooftop solar power products
At the moment, Huawei ICT Academy has been established making the University the first in Vihiga County and even in the region to establish a vibrant collaboration with the Industry Gigitech firm.

The leadership of the school is closely working with AJIRA Digital Program is a government initiative driven by the Ministry of ICT, Innovations and Youth Affairs to empower over one million young people to access digital job opportunities.

So far the program has benefited a number of students through targeted trainings on leveraging using ICT gadgets to make a living. https://ajiradigital.go.ke/#/about-ajira-program 

 

At the moment the School is working on a collaboration with AFRALTI. https://www.afralti.org/

African Advanced Level Telecommunications Institute (AFRALTI) is an Inter-Governmental Organization established in 1991 to supplement and spearhead ICT development efforts in Sub-Saharan Africa. The mandate of AFRALTI is to develop human capacity in ICTs (included herein is training, consultancy and research). The ultimate goal of this initiative is to spur technical skills transfer to students undertaking various programs in the University and more so related to ICT. We aim to create a CISCO Academy with will offer professional certifications
